You will be a key member who will lead a new R&D project that aims to transform the space of patient management in critical care settings. Your primary responsibilities will be to:· Contribute to building a novel technology that can shape the next generation of critical care patient management.· Work together with senior management to build out technical project team.· Act as a technical leader for a cross-disciplinary team.· Independently design, execute and analyze data.· Find creative and innovative ways to solve R&D challenges.· Deliver regular project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.· Ensure that project timelines and objectives are being met.This is an office-first role working out of our Kitchener HQ in the Medical Innovation Xchange.Qualifications:These are some of the skills we are looking for in an ideal candidate. If you check some but not all of these boxes, please apply anyway!· Advanced (Master’s or PhD) degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nanotechnology Engineering, Biochemistry, or related disciplines.· 5+ years of industry experience in the development of POC diagnostics/IVDs/blood gas analyzers.· Experience in end-to-end product development (bringing technology through key points such as conception, verification, manufacturing, etc.) as a technical leader.· Experience in a early-stage start-up or related environment (fast-paced, high-growth, innovative, etc.).· Skilled in managing relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external.· Experience in building and managing cross-functional, high-performing teams.Bonus Qualifications:· Experience with regulated environments such as ISO13485:2016 or 11 CFR 820.· Experience with hardware/firmware development.· Experience with mechanical designApplication Process:1.
