Previous candidates for this role need not apply.Location 1University of Warwick Campus, CoventryDepartment 1WMGPosition Type 1Fixed Term, Full TimeDuration 1Fixed-term until 8 October 2025.Salary 1£45,585 – £54,395 per annumAbout the Role 1This is a contract-based research-focused role for a senior research fellow working as an Assistant Professor to deliver tasks and work packages related to a research project.Working with the PI, the post holder will play a leading role in developing and delivering Supply Chain related research for the UK’s National Research Hub for Hydrogen Integration for Accelerated Energy Transitions (HI-ACT, ). The vision of HI-ACT is to ensure that hydrogen is appropriately integrated in a future equitable energy system, through holistic multi-disciplinary research which addresses integration challenges. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to co-create a robust research outcome with a solid impact on practices.HI-ACT will establish a national Hub of excellence and create a collaboration ecosystem catalysing world-leading research with actionable outputs and long-term, sustainable impacts. We aim to continually engage with stakeholders and interested parties throughout the process to make the transition as equitable as possible.In your role as an Assistant Professor (Senior Supply Chain Associate), you will specifically focus on supply chain-related aspects of the project which seeks to

  • Mapping Supply Chain to understand Interconnectedness and interrelatedness.
  • Identifying critical components.
  • Assessing supply chain capability.
  • Demand estimation and supply capacity.
  • Develop Supply Chain Readiness tool.
  • Supply chain risk assessment to ensure a resilient supply Chain.
  • Business models to ensure the acceptance of multi-stakeholders.

Beyond these, you will develop innovative research as we progress to address supply chain-related challenges to the Hydrogen ecosystem and will work with colleagues from across 10 UK universities from multiple disciplines to deliver truly interdisciplinary research and develop new supply chain-related research projects aligned with the theme of the project.
