Faculty of Health and Life SciencesThe above full-time post is available immediately in the Department of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences until 30th June 2025. There may be the possibility for extension, subject to funding.The postAn exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences to conduct neuroimaging clinical research across neurodegenerative disorders for a highly prestigious research programme in Professor Marios Politis’ Neurodegeneration Imaging Group. This post is available immediately until 30th June 2025 with anticipation for extension. The successful applicant will be responsible for the analysis of PET and MR imaging data across world leading neuroimaging research studies and the development and implementation of analysis methodologies and computational science techniques.This post is based in the Neurodegeneration Imaging Group’s London office.About youThe successful applicant will be able to develop research objectives, projects and proposals; identify sources of research funding and contribute to the process of securing funds and make presentations at conferences and other events.Applicants will possess a relevant PhD or equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study. The successful applicant will be a nationally recognised authority in neuroimaging and neurodegeneration and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop research programmes and methodologies. The successful applicant will also be able to work collaboratively, supervise the work of others and act as team leader as required. Applicants will have experience in MRI (and ideally, PET) research and analysis and be able to use imaging analysis software, such as Matlab, SPM and FSL, to analyse clinical PET and MR imaging data from a range of studies in neurodegenerative diseases.Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification for full details of this role by clicking on the attachment.What we can offer you
