From 26 offices in 15 countries, with projects in over 80 locations worldwide, we create sustainable outcomes for our people, clients and communities.Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager in Asset Optimization to join our Asset Optimization Business line in the GTA.About the role

  • English is mandatory, and an additional French language is a must.
  • Reporting to the North America Asset Optimization Director.
  • Manage the group of asset optimization consultants in the Eastern region of Canada.
  • Lead the recruiting of new resources in the region.
  • Manage relations with key accounts.
  • Take on the responsibilities of team leader and/or project manager, supervising other consultants as and when required.
  • Deliver consulting services to client sites as needed.
  • Less than 50% of the work time will be performed at the client site. The projects are mostly in Eastern Canada, with possibilities for projects in North America.
  • Responsible for the billing to clients and budget tracking.
  • Participation in the review and design of new asset optimization products.
  • Implementation of asset optimization best practices.
  • Application of reliability engineering processes and principles.
  • Participate in maintenance audits when required.
  • Provide consultancy services to the designated clients per the skills and competencies outlined above.
  • Standard and timeliness of the provision of service to clients.
  • Compliance with company policies, procedures and standards

QualificationsAbout you

  • Degree Qualified Mechanical or Electrical engineer.
  • 5 years of experience in asset optimization and asset management consulting.
  • 5 years of experience in human resources management.
  • Experience in the mining industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of standards such as ISO55000.
  • Proven prior experience as a reliability engineer.
  • Experience in asset lifecycle analysis is an advantage.
  • A background as a planner/scheduler, supervisor, reliability engineer, superintendent, or manager in operations and maintenance.
  • Experience in building asset maintenance strategies using RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) principles.
  • Ability to lead, plan, execute and review plant major shutdowns and to use Shutdown Gantt charts software’s.
  • Experience in facilitating defect elimination programs, including RCFA, FMECA and RCM methodologies.
  • Competency in developing and implementing key performance indicators required for properly managing our client’s businesses.
  • Demonstrated competency in training, coaching and auditing.
  • High-level interpersonal skills together with effective communication skills
  • Well-developed written and oral skills in French and the ability to communicate well in English is an asset.
  • Computer and MS Office knowledge & skills
  • Knowledge of various Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a must.
