As part of our strategic drive to be at the forefront of a rapidly evolving marketplace in financial services, the programme offers an exciting opportunity for talented quantitative post-graduates (PhD or equivalent) to join Lloyds Banking Group.There are a few opportunities to join a quantitatively focussed specialist team in business units across Lloyds Banking Group including Markets and Risk. You’ll build on your mathematical and technological skills as well as financial knowledge to build models that are critical to the success of our business.You’ll benefit from a training programme that will balance academic learning with the development of business and technical skills. Your skills will be matched against the most appropriate needs, and you’ll be placed within one of our quantitative teams within Commercial Banking.Specialist Training includes:

  • Quant Academy: Internal lecture series on financial modelling
  • C++ & Python Programming: Self-learning & on-site
  • Quant hub: self-learning lectures by industry practitioners
  • ARPM: Moderated self-learning platform on machine learning and risk management methods in the real measure
  • Research paper and final presentation.

You’ll also gain valuable exposure through on-the-job secondments within other quantitative teams.   • You’ll have a gift for having attention to detail, being accurate and precise in your work, which you would apply in all phases of the model development lifecycle, from design, coding, testing, documentation, and model monitoring.
  • You enjoy working in collaboration with others and under tight deadlines, which gives you a sense of challenge, and an opportunity to test your boundaries.
  • And you’ll have strong analytical capabilities, you’ll enjoy writing technical documentation and explaining complex problems in a simple manner.
