An opportunity is available for an Investigator Scientist to work with Dr Andrew Carter to use cryo electron tomography (cryoET) to study transport of cargos by microtubule-based motors.I am looking for an enthusiastic individual with a PhD in a relevant field who will thrive in a laboratory with a friendly and supportive atmosphere. You should have extensive postdoctoral experience in advanced cryoEM data processing and a track record of solving challenging structures by single particle analysis. In addition, you should have experience in preparing samples using a cryo-FIB/SEM and collecting cryo-ET datasets.The position would suit someone with a strong background in biochemistry, X-ray crystallography and cryoEM/cryoET with a proven interest in understanding the function of microtubule-based motors.Successful applicants will be awarded an Investigator Scientist position.Informal enquires can be made toThe LMB has an inclusive and collaborative working culture and you will be based in our state-of-the-art building on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
