Proklima stands for a cluster of projects that are committed to climate- and ozone-friendly cooling and air conditioning. We are concerned with the implementation of the Montreal Protocol and the Paris Agreement.
Proklima works on behalf of various German ministries, the European Union and other clients in more than 30 countries. The activities range from training for refrigeration engineers to pilot projects for innovative technologies to policy advice at national and international levels. The program works with its own regional offices on all continents and is supported by numerous external consultants.
Your tasks
The focus of the internship is on event management (especially “cool training”) and public relations. You will get to know the administrative and organizational regulations of a global international development cooperation company, take part in specialist events and work on topics on your own initiative under guidance and support that are oriented towards the specific tasks of the work unit. Your tasks include:
- Communication with participants in trainings and webinars
- Travel organization
- Creation of agendas, presentations and other event materials
- Support in conducting webinars
- Writing website articles and working in the content management system (CMS)
- Conception of flyers and other public relations materials
- Technical research and analysis of ongoing activities on current international processes under the Montreal Protocol and the climate regime
- You will receive an overview of the pilot projects initiated by Proklima in the partner countries and new technology developments in the area of climate- and ozone-friendly cooling and air conditioning. You will also learn about the current climate debate as well as the obligations of the Montreal Protocol, and gain experience in event management and public relations (both online and offline).
your profile
- Completed basic/bachelor’s/master’s degree in a relevant subject area (refrigeration or environmental technology, communication, media or political science, journalism, marketing, international relations, languages, etc.)
- Affinity and ideally previous experience in event management and public relations
- Enjoy writing and have an eye for attractive design
- Interest in systematic analyzes and preparing content for different target groups
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Word and Powerpoint
- Interest in climate/ozone protection policy and willingness to delve into technical content
- Structured, goal-oriented and independent way of working, strategic thinking, the ability to work on your own initiative, even under time pressure
- Very good oral and written expression skills in German and English, other language skills (especially Spanish, French) are an advantage
