With the special initiative “Transformation of agricultural and food systems”, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is making a substantial contribution to combating hunger and malnutrition worldwide and is therefore a central concern of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. As part of the special initiative, the global project “Soil Protection and Rehabilitation for Food Security” (ProSoil) supports and advises small farmers in Ethiopia, Benin, Burkina Faso, India, Kenya, Madagascar and Tunisia on agroecological and climate-friendly farming methods and transformation processes with a focus on sustainable land management . The program commissioned by the BMZ is co-financed by the European Union (EU) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. A control unit in Bonn handles overarching topics, organizes the cross-border exchange of knowledge and reports to the client.
Your tasks
As part of your internship, you will focus on the following, among other things:
- Support in communication with clients and the public
- Support with cross-border, project-internal communication work and virtual collaboration
- Support in anchoring and implementing the project’s own communication strategy
- Support in the preparation of knowledge products and learning experiences and the operationalization of a knowledge management system
- Supporting the team in optimizing the use of digital solutions for communication and organization
- Support in the preparation and follow-up of international conference contributions
- Organization, moderation and documentation of internal project exchange formats and processes
your profile
- Study from the fourth semester in the field of communication or media sciences, journalism, social sciences, regional sciences or similar, preferably with a connection to rural development or climate protection
- Knowledge or experience in modern communications work
- Affinity for writing texts for different media and formats
- Experience working with digital media (creating social media posts, video, photography)Experience organizing events is an advantage
- EZ relevant experience and knowledge is an advantage
- Language skills: Fluent knowledge of German and English is mandatory and very good knowledge of French is an advantage
