Job description
The International Water Management Institute (IWMI) is part of the Global Research Partnership for a Food Secure Future (CGIAR) dedicated to transforming food, land, and water systems in a climate crisis. To achieve impact from the widespread use of innovations from research, the development and implemenation of inclusive scaling strategies is necessary. The position will support the scaling of innovations in IWMI across the organization.
Your Tasks
- Identify promising innovations from IWMI’s research and support the implementation of inclusive scaling approaches
- Support the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) team in training researchers and partners on inclusive innovation scaling
- Develop and implement an innovation portfolio management together with scaling teams in IWMI and other CGIAR partner organizations
- Further develop scaling approaches in the thematic area of water and circular economy with other GIZ team members and partners
Your profile
- PhD in resource management, agronomy, engineering, environmental sciences or any related field
- At least 10 years of working experience in research and development cooperation, especially with regards to science-practice interactions
- Research and implementation skills in innovation scaling, circular economy, water, growth and inclusion with focus on Asia
- Professional experience in Low- and Middle Income Countries, preferably Asia
- Interdisciplinary thinking, learning attitude, good inter-cultural team player
