Robert Half is currently in search of an Associate Attorney with a focus on Complex Civil Litigation for our client located in Oakland, CA. The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented individual who can thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in complex civil litigation matters.

• Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, etc.

• Maintain a minimum of 1800 billable hours per year.

• Conduct extensive legal research and analysis.

• Perform initial case assessments and investigate factual evidence.

• Participate in trial proceedings as necessary, including preparation of witnesses.

• Collaborate with team members and clients to strategize case approach.

• Adhere to all professional and ethical standards as stipulated by the California Bar Association.

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Qualified candidates must be licensed to practice law in the state of California and have a JD from an ABA accredited university.

• Minimum of 2-6 years of experience in complex civil litigation is required. Trial experience highly preferred.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and writing skills.

• Strong case management and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of cases.

• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

• Proficient in utilizing legal research tools and software.
