Project Description
The EU CBM Programme Cleaner position is located at str. Șciusev 101 premises in Chisinau, Moldova. Under the guidance and direct supervision of the EU CBM Programme Manager, the EU CBM Programme Cleaner will provide cleaning services in the building on a regular basis ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for visitors and staff, high quality and accuracy of work. The Cleaner demonstrates a client-oriented approach, high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact and the ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. The incumbent works in close collaboration with the EU CBM Programme staff to ensure consistent service delivery.
The EU CBM Programme requires to employ 1 (one) Cleaner via NPSA 1 regular contract for effective provision of cleaning services for its premises of approximately 387,30 m2 including reception area, corridors, 11 offices (24 working places), 1 (one) meeting room, 3 (three) kitchens, storage room and 3 (three) bathrooms.
Scope of Work
The scope of the Contract shall include but not be limited to the following:
– Cleaning of office space, conference room, stairways, and common areas.
– Cleaning of all bathrooms and their fixtures.
– Cleaning of the common kitchens.
– Cleaning of windows – internal.
– Waste management.
1.1 Each day tasks:
– Offices/Reception – clean working desks, empty paper/waste bins, replace new bin bags, vacuum cleaning in the offices with carpet surface, wash floors, remove spider webs, remove finger marks from surface such as walls, shelves and light switches.
– IT equipment – dust and clean computers, calculator, telephones, faxes, etc.
– Meeting/ conference room – clean and re-arrange tables and chairs, remover spider webs.
– Bathrooms, nursing room – wash floors, clean mirrors, disinfect washbasins and toilets seats, empty and clean waste bins, remover spider webs.
– Kitchens – clean floors, empty and clean waste bins, replace new bin bags, remove spider webs, clean the table surfaces, clean the paper dispensers, gather up and wash cups, dishes.
– Corridors – wash floors, vacuum cleaning of the carpets in the reception/common area corridors, empty waste bins, replace new bin bags, remove spider webs.
– Report to EU CBM Programme Manager of any malfunctioning equipment or items in areas of operation: doors, handles, locks, taps, cisterns, lights, switch, etc.
– Cleaning out the collecting tanks of coffee machine.
1.2 Weekly tasks
– Cleaning/dusting/vacuuming of window-sides/heaters and doors.
– Cleaning/dusting/vacuuming of fixtures such as cupboards, shelves, picture frames, couches, chairs.
– Cleaning/dusting of the ceiling/wall/desk lamps.
– Vacuum and wet cleaning of the carpets in the reception/common area.
– Office/conference rooms- windows cleaning, inside and outside.
– Cleaning out the refrigerators inside.
– To defrost and to wash the refrigerators 1 time/quarter.
1.3. Office waste management and recyclable waste management
– Manage the waste from the office premises, including the kitchens, bathrooms and cabinets
– Apply the actual knowledge on waste management and separate the waste. Use the authorized containers for the waste disposal in line with the marking, color or label on them. Sort waste at the office in separate waste bins in accordance with the waste material: Paper/cardboard waste; Metal waste; Plastic waste; Batteries waste.
The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.
Supplies and equipment
The organization shall provide all equipment, as well as environmentally friendly cleaning supplies required for carrying out the work. This comprises of but is not limited to, all the supplies for toilets, kitchenettes, and desk cleaning, including – toilet paper, paper towels, disinfectants, kitchen paper towels, washing-up liquids, liquid hand soap for soap dispensers, detergents for the kitchenettes, dishwasher supplies, garbage bags, vacuum cleaners, dusters, brooms, brushes, buckets and mops.
There is a dedicated storage room in the basement for keeping supplies and equipment.

Minimum Education requirements: Secondary Education is required.
Minimum years of relevant work experience: Experience related will be an asset.
Required skills: Experience in the office cleaning services provision is an asset.
Desired skills
- Ability to operate and maintain a variety of cleaning equipment to provide efficient delivery of service is an advantage.
- Experience in an international organization is a strong advantage.
Required Language(s)
- Fluency in Romanian and Russian is required.
- Knowledge of English is an asset.
- Working knowledge of one or more additional languages relevant for Moldova, including Bulgarian, Gagauzian, Romani, Ukrainian or sign language is an asset.
