Contract type: Open endedWork hours: 35.0 hours per weekThe roleWe are seeking a talented researcher with at least 4-years postdoctoral experience in epidemiology, health data science or medical statistics. You will be responsible for establishing a large health record linkage cohort to enable research degerming whether conception by assisted reproductive technology (ART), compared to conception without ART, and by different types of ART affects offspring and parent’s health. You will lead research using this cohort to explore effects of any ART, and different types of ART, on offspring and parental cardiovascular and neurological health. You will work with other researchers exploring effects on other health outcomes. Triangulation of evidence from different types of analyses with different biases (e.g. conventional confounder adjusted regression in the whole population and within siblings, target trial emulation. Instrumental variable, and negative control analyses) will be used to explore causal effects.What will you be doing?
- Establish a health record cohort to research the impact of conception by ART on offspring and parental health.
- Develop analytical tools, pipelines, and repositories for use in your own and others research.
- Complete research and disseminate research on the effects of ART on cardiovascular and neurological heath.
- Contribute to analytical methods development.
- Contribute to supervision of PhD students.
- Colaborate with local, national and international researchers within the ART-HEALTH partnership, IEU and Bristol Medical School.

- You have a PhD and at least 4 years of postdoctoral experience.
- Experience using Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Expertise using R, Python, or other common languages.
- Evidence of thorough documentation of code and protocols.
- Enthusiasm for working collaboratively and enjoying learning new methods.
