Are you a recent Maths or Computer Science graduate with a passion for education and a desire to make a difference?Tradewind is currently seeking a committed Graduate Teaching Assistant for a good secondary school in Altrincham! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable teaching experience and contribute to the academic growth of the students.Position: Teaching AssistantLocation: AltrinchamContract Type: Full-Time, Temporary to PermanentPay: £85 – £100 per day, subject to experienceAs a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students at KS3, KS4, and those with special educational needs (SEN), empowering them to achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Offering personalised one-to-one support to address individual learning needs
  • Assist in the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons in Maths and Computer Science.
  • Providing specialised support for the Maths and Computing curriculum, collaborating with teachers to deliver small group instruction and effective learning strategies
  • Cultivating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting students’ emotional and social development

Requirements:

  • Child-based work experience, Teaching Assistant or tutor experience is desirable
  • A degree in Maths, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the Maths and Computer Science curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to student development and well-being
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and Professional references checks
