We have an international reputation for research, teaching and enterprise activities and our staff are leaders in their fields.The Faculty of Medicine (University of Southampton) and Wessex Clinical Genetics Service at University Hospital Southampton invite applications for a tenure position as Associate Professor/Professor of Clinical Genetics & Genomics. This post will be within the School of Human Development and Health based on the University Hospital Southampton campus. This appointment will strengthen research in the field of Human Genetics and Genomic Medicine.The post-holder will have an established record of research and publication and will be expected to develop and lead a major programme of funded clinical research in the field of genetics and genomics. The appointee will provide leadership within academic Human Genetics and within the appointee’s relevant theme and will contribute to the academic leadership within the School of Human Development and Health and the Faculty, enhancing the quality of our research, enterprise, and education. The post holder will also join a dynamic team of consultants at the Wessex Clinical Genetics Services where a multitude of subspecialist interests could be accommodated.
