About us The Department of Children’s Cardiovascular Disease at UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science, is based at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH), one of the largest paediatric research hospitals in the World. Our mission is to improve the lives, health and wellbeing of children, and the adults they will become, through world-class patient centred research, education and public engagement.We are recruiting a research fellow to contribute to the development of computational models for the simulation of complex haemodynamics in the context of congenital heart disease.About the role The post will involve clinical research in patients with congenital heart disease. Clinical research activities will include; exercise testing, cardiac MRI, echocardiography, cardiac catherisation as well as data collection and analysis. Both collaboration with computational modelling collaborators and patient and public involvement and engagement are substantial elements of the role.This post is funded from 14th October 2024 for 3 years. The salary is CL7 point 3.About you The appointee will have a Medical Degree and clinical experience in Cardiology. Please see the Job description for the training elements. It is expected you will have gained some experience of working in a multidisciplinary clinical team as well as demonstrable evidence of research skills.The appointee will be expected to register for a PhD at UCL.What we offer • 41 Days holiday (27 days annual leave 8 bank holiday and 6 closure days)
