Our long-established Toronto fashion client requires a highly-qualified, entrepreneurial FINANCE DIRECTORJob Description
Business and financial strategy and planning, monitoring, management and reporting, including management and development of policies, systems, processes and personnel involved.
Reporting and accounting for all business entities and consolidated position on a monthly basis and as per regulatory and legal requirements including working with external accounting firm for taxation, dividends, annual report.
Manage the cash flow all entities.
Financial staff management, assigning responsibilities, coaching, training, recruitment and selection.
Contribute to strategic planning and development as a member of executive team, and keeping records, reports to executive and management team.
Payroll, company insurance, import/export administration, licensing, contracts and agreements, legal areas and activities, corporate level negotiations (e.g. premises, plant, acquisitions and divestments, disposals), major supplier/customer/partner relationships, regulatory bodies’ relationships and strategies, approvals and accreditations.
Main contact with bank for the relationship including all financial issues and banking agreement.
Main contact with external IT service provider.
Inventory and quality assurance responsibilities.
HR responsibilities including adherence to all laws and health and safety legislation.
Company Secretary responsibilities (e.g. statutory company administration responsibilities and relevant legal requirements).
Execute the responsibilities of a company director according to lawful and ethical standards, as referenced in policy and standards.
Successful candidate should have at least 10 years industry experience
