SEN Secondary Food Technology Teacher RequiredLocation: Okehampton, Devon
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £30,000 – £46,525 per annum + SEN Allowance
Start Date: September 2024About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated SEN Food Technology Teacher to join our team at a reputable school in Okehampton, Devon. This position offers a temporary-to-permanent contract through Teaching Personnel, with a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £46,525 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, a SEN Allowance will also be provided.Key Responsibilities:Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons tailored to the needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Create a supportive learning environment that fosters academic progress and personal growth. Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying abilities and learning styles within the classroom. Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development. Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to student care and education. Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, achievements, and behavior.Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology, preferably within an SEN setting.
  • Understanding of SEN practices and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and equality in education.
