Responsibilities:

  • Reports to regional banking head to Identify, negotiate and structure relationships in the global banking environment to develop a pipeline of, and grow, an effective network of banking and PSP suppliers.
  • Manage an end-to-end process: find the right potential partners, pitch Currencycloud as a client, negotiate the commercial agreements and contracts, complete account opening forms, explain our compliance processes, pass due diligence, and do anything else needed to be ready for development.
  • Plan and coordinate proposals, including RFPs as well as targeted proposals for engaging with financial institutions for the provision of financial services.
  • Ensure that the economics of commercial deals are competitive and enable growth and scalability with financial efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of CC’s banking, strategy, including identifying the products & service capabilities and key markets to grow CC’s functionality.
  • Work with banking team and cross-functionally with key stakeholders to expand banking network footprint.
  • Work with the Product Directors to define the opportunities and direction for our product.
  • Work with the product team to unlock new relationships with relevant financial institutions.

KPIs

  • Number of banks/PSPs in the pipeline for onboarding – across multiple stages (Discovery, Onboarding and Design).
  • Health of Banking network.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters,

MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cross border payments/ Banking and in building bank partnerships involving

correspondent banking and/or SWIFT based integrations, both from the commercial and
implementation perspectives. Should have at least 4-5 years of experience in the field

  • Can innovate and build new payment solutions that have never existed before. Able to identify and

successfully advocate for new proposals that have never previously existed.

  • Willing and able to go into (sometimes deep) detail where needed – this could be reading legal

contracts, understanding specific payment regulation or looking at payment data to optimize
payment routing.

  • Can independently negotiate the most ideal terms with a clear product vision and understanding in

mind

  • Can get stuff done. Entrepreneurial mindset. Able to execute complex partnerships while balancing

more basic day to day tasks such as form-filling, partner due diligence/KYC.

  • Familiar with how financial, payments and FX regulators work and the different decision makers
