About this position:Being a Marketing Project Manager = a herder of cats, a lover of deadlines, a juggler of multiple balls and organization skills to match Marie Kondo!As Later’s Senior Marketing Project Manager, your role will be integral to ensuring success on large-scale, cross-functional marketing projects and ensuring smooth communication between various stakeholders.You should feel comfortable working across teams and departments, be able to synthesize project requirements and assist with briefing within the team. You will be working alongside designers, copywriters, product marketers, ad strategists, and other marketing team members on a daily basis.Some of your responsibilities will include revamping & reviewing briefs and processes, reviewing briefs for completeness prior to project kick-off, leading meetings and daily standups with teams, managing Asana tasks for projects, building project plans and updating project status reports and other documentation.Ultimately, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and scope – in collaboration with marketing stakeholders.What you’ll be doing:Strategy and Project Management

  • Understanding the scope of projects and how to phase deliverables accordingly
  • Knowing who key stakeholders are on the project (eg. who is responsible for what)
  • Review team deliverables to ensure they meet project briefs and marketing objectives
  • Managing Asana boards and any other project management system
  • Manage day-to-day progress of projects including risk assessment, check-ins, and problem resolution
  • Strategic prioritization (and re-prioritization) of tickets, including adjusting project plans based on changing business needs, reallocating resources, and communicating changes to stakeholders
  • Monitor updates and ensure an accurate feedback loop between copywriters, web designers, and developers to maintain up-to-date project materials, facilitating smoother operations and enhancing stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Be the go-to person for status updates on all live projects including regular reporting cadences
  • Communicate regularly with clear actions and updates
  • Manage Notion and ongoing information sharing
  • Facilitate the team’s dedication to Agile Project Management as the Scrumaster, including education, backlog grooming, refinement and retrospectives, as well as bi-weekly burndowns

Data & Measurement

  • Be one step ahead and pre-empt blockers, risks and challenges for the project
  • Flagging and communicating blockers early, with a solution-oriented approach
  • Collaborate with different departments when needed on budgets & freelancer management
  • Track, manage and optimize team velocity so that we can pivot and provide educated estimates for additional resourcing as needed

Resource Management

  • Flagging resource limitations across different teams when needed and preempting blockers to success
  • Control any scope creep that should arise
  • Be the polite nudge to keep people on track and working towards deadline

Experimentation & Optimization

  • Proactively look for process improvements and solutions to help get projects completed in a timely manner
  • Test new ways of working and new processes to streamline workflows
  • Be solutions-orientated with blockers

  • You have a bachelor’s degree – ideally in marketing, business, economics, or technical field

  • Strong results orientation, proven record performing to aggressive growth targets
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team and a variety of skill sets
  • Flexibility & ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Experience with project management and knowledge platforms (Asana, Notion)
  • Nice to Have: Saas industry experience

Our approach to compensation:We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted.Additionally, all permanent team members are granted stock options and are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.Salary Range:$100,000 – 109,000 CAD
