Term: Permanent Full-TimeWork Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. The incumbent will support the development and implementation of our marketing strategy and plans, creating meaningful and impactful content to support the S&R line of business and drive our competitive position.   • Developing and implementing marketing strategies for the S&R division.
  • Forming, driving, and executing on superior marketing briefs/plans for product launches, promotions, etc. in partnership with Product, Distribution and Operational partners
  • Creating and maintaining training material and presentations on products (segregated funds, guaranteed interest accounts and payout annuities), sales concepts and other marketing opportunities to facilitate the training of producers/advisors, MGAs, regional managers.
  • Stay on top of current and emerging trends, competitive landscape – bringing new and innovative ideas to elevate our presence in the market.
  • Remain connected to business priorities, to ensure S&R Marketing is supporting organizational priorities. Working closely with Product, Distribution and S&R Leadership and other internal partners including Corporate Marketing/Communications.
  • Ensure adherence to website processes, content guidelines, accessibility requirements and controls.
  • Continually deliver exceptional material and experiences by evaluating key metrics across end user experience.
  • Use data insights to make informed decisions and propose improvements.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of marketing experience, specifically within the financial services sector, demonstrating a deep understanding of the industry.
  • Strategic thinking: The ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
  • Analytical skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret market data and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Communication skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • Creativity: A creative mindset to devise innovative marketing campaigns that resonate with target audiences. Experience in graphic design, marketing material creation, digital design or user experience expertise would be considered an asset.
  • Project management: solid project management skills to oversee multiple marketing initiatives simultaneously.
  • External presence – industry awareness and contacts with media and creative/agency organizations is an asset.
