Samples of our work can be found on our website.We are looking for an Assistant Data Economist to join our Economics Data team in London to help drive forward our data offering and data visualisation capabilities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating new interactive charts and dashboards, as well as bespoke dashboards for our CE Advance clients, for publication on our website using the company’s chosen data visualisation tools.
  • Supporting the development of the database that drives our interactive dashboards.
  • Searching for and collating data from a variety of sources on a wide range of economic and sector specific topics.
  • Constructing well-organised spreadsheets and preparing data in Microsoft Excel.
  • Carrying out periodic reviews of the database and dashboards to check for errors and ensure that the interactive content functions as originally intended.
  • Providing support to internal and external users of our data visualisation tools.
  • Working with our economist teams to support the development of new proprietary indicators and dashboards.

  • A strong academic background with a good undergraduate degree in economics/econometrics or a related subject;
  • Some previous coding experience or familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R;
  • A strong interest in data visualisation. Previous experience of data visualisation software (such as Power BI or Tableau) is preferable but not essential;
  • The ability to learn quickly, write clearly and work to tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
