The Group was established in 2020 to consolidate various existing business interests spanning multiple sectors operating within various sectors including Retail (Greens Retail), Pizza Hut (Brands) Delivery, Property, Online and Frozen Drinks (Skwishee) space. We are currently recruiting for an Area Coach as we add Pizza Hut to our Business portfolio.We are drastically investing in the Pizza Hut Delivery brand throughout Scotland, operating 18 PHD sites with plans to open at least 6 further sites this year. Our latest launches, in Kirkcaldy and Hillington have been met with a tremendous response. The successful candidate will join our existing Ops team, and be drastically driving the brand forward including leading investment into existing Huts as well as supporting new Hut openings. It most certainly is an extremely exciting time at Pizza Hut!Reports To: Head of OpsPosition Overview: Leading the restaurant management team and team members, you help direct the daily operations of an entire restaurant. Using business expertise and management skills, you keep both your team and your customers happy.As we continue to spread the doughlightful goodness across the UK, we are on the lookout for Area Coaches (AC) who want a slice of the action and who are Ready to Rise.Our ACs play a key role in empowering and supporting our Pizza Hut delivery sites. They are able to lead, influence, and support a team of Restaurant General Managers within a designated area/region. They are inspiring, encouraging, and coaching those teams and giving them support to rise. This goal? To improve customer satisfaction, drive team development, and deliver operational effectiveness and overall profitability.Our ACs are passionate about People, Products, and Processes to deliver Performance. They help to deliver against all operational performance metrics (Customer Satisfaction, Sales, Profit, Training Certification, Food Safety, Health and Safety, and all PH Brand standards). The role supports 8-10 Delivery Huts across the region and reports directly to a Head of Operations.Most of our ACs say the best part of the role is being able to influence and support people in their teams; to either have a career or a flexible job that works around their life and their commitments whilst being part of a culture that brings people together and celebrates the individual flavors that make them, well….them!Main ResponsibilitiesThe Area Coach will be responsible for our key pillars of focus including:People
- Building the performance capability of all team members within designated area
- Developing and coaching RGMs to ensure they have solid business and operational skills, great standards knowledge and display strong leadership behaviours
- Partnering with the HRBP and peers to develop, coach, grow and sign off both Shift Managers and RGMs for the Estate
- Develop and embed a positive working culture in all Huts and across area, including focus on celebrating success
- Review and report people metrics, with focus on bench planning and developing talent pipeline in partnership with the Human Resources Business Partner and Head of People.
- Ensure optimum staffing across area, through RGM capability in recruitment, selection and training, partnering with the HRBP for any high turnover / recruitment challenging huts
- Recruit high-performing RGMs in conjunction with HRBP Customer
- Coach RGMs to create a naturally customer focused environment
- Complete unannounced visits in line with routines to deliver high impact coaching that will drive the right standards for our business
- Ensure Huts provide a consistently great customer experience, coaching team on managing complaints and increasing return visits
- Monitor and implement all YUM and Starboard programs to improve customer metrics.
- Leverage smart Dispatch system and analyse customer data to gain insights in to your areas opportunities, then use these insights and work with your teams to develop long term solutions.
Sales
- Display a growth mindset seeking to maximise sales in area, coach RGMs to exceed sales targets through a strong sales culture
- Ensure rigorous execution of all brand marketing promotions
- Work with your local teams to develop local marketing initiatives that will enhance sales or drive awareness
- Ensure our RGMs have a strong understanding and awareness of local area, help them develop their ability to complete an annual SWOT analysis and business plan Profit
- Maximise profitability of area by understanding and controlling costs (e.g. labour, food costs, semi variables). Monitor daily, weekly and periodically, providing metrics to stakeholders
- Develop a strategy to drive the Unit Contribution of the area by reviewing sales, transactions and costs in line with business needs holding team to account with monthly Business Reviews
- Develop portfolio management approach to area profitability, understand Hut needs and provide coaching on P&L when needed
- Coach RGMs to use trend analysis and analytics to accurately forecast sales and labour
- Act like an owner mindset and spend smart where possible, making smart and sustainable decisions for your business area Other
- Build strong relationships with the wider Starboard business
- Effectively manage and implement any systems put into place and ensure these are landed within your huts
