Visit us today and check out to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityReporting to the Director Integrated Scheduling Services, the Administrative Assistant serves as the initial contact and resource person for the Director and the provincial Integrated Scheduling Services team. The Administrative Assistant supports the activities of the Director and the portfolio to focus on their strategic direction, goals and objectives, while also playing a key role in supporting communication, committees or working groups as assigned.The Administrative Assistant is integral to the team not only related to support, but sharing their knowledge and ideas as part of the larger people services portfolio. This role will base their actions on supporting change in a healthcare environment and what that means to all levels of staff and the patients and families we serve.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Post-Secondary diploma in a recognized office administration, business administration or secretarial program
  • Undergraduate degree is an asset
  • International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) certification is an asset
  • The Administrative Assistant requires a minimum of 5-7 years’ of progressively responsible experience, providing administrative support and office coordination at the senior level, preferably within healthcare and within an integrated service model provided throughout several locations with multiple partners and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of tact, judgement, and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking, synthesize information, problem-solve and utilize good judgment in decision making. Ability to recognize sensitive issues and respond appropriately
  • Ability to take and transcribe minutes
  • Excellent organizational, follow through and time management skills, with the ability prioritize tasks and accurately manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive and highly confidential environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated competencies requiring advanced skills and abilities in all facets of modern office practices and technology and with information and meeting technologies
  • Experience utilizing technology in meeting planning to create efficiencies and streamline tracking and retrieval of information
  • Exemplary work history as demonstrated in current and past employment
  • Physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position

  • Permanent Full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
