- As geotechnical responsible, lead and deliver geotechnical services within the whole project development lifecycle, to projects in the oil & gas, low carbon solutions and renewable energy sectors.
Drive the planning and execution of soil investigations to acquire fit-for-purpose in-situ and laboratory data for engineering activities, from the early phase (scope of work, budget, specifications, tenders process, supervision of field work) to the delivery phase with validation of data processing, interpretation and delivery of geotechnical design basis.Develop integrated site characterization strategies and deliveries with specialists from other units such as survey, geophysics, geospatial, metocean.Advise and provide support across projects and multi-disciplinary units to address complex and high priority tasks and support other engineers within the geotechnical discipline.Provide geotechnical input to feasibility studies and foundations concept select.Provide geotechnical input to foundations design, identify and address risks/opportunities related to the geotechnical discipline and contribute to effective foundations solutions.Identify/drive/lead improvement initiatives and implementation of new methods, strategies, and best practice within technical safety in close collaboration with discipline ladder and line manager.Participate in technology, digitalization, and innovation initiatives.Represent Equinor in working groups and in international forums. ” />Job DescriptionWe’re 23,000 colleagues in more than 30 countries delivering oil, gas, wind and solar power to 170 million people worldwide. For this position, we are also looking for:Master’s or PhD qualified candidates within Civil/Geotechnical with relevant experience in the field of offshore/nearshore geotechnics / soil mechanics covering field experience (soil investigations, laboratory work, foundations installation) and/or geotechnical engineering design (use of industry best practices, standards and technical requirements).Experience with relevant geotechnical software, Opile, PLAXIS, GRLWEAP and similar beneficial.Candidate to be structured, systematic and result oriented, independent and eager to take initiative, and able to lead and drive performance within teams.Business mindset (focus on quality, HSE, security, timely deliveries, stakeholder management, etc.).Strong cooperation skills, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders across BA’s and disciplines.Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.Fluent communication skills in English, both oral and written.General informationPlease attach copies of your diplomas, certificates and grades in English or a Scandinavian language.
