This post is full-time (35 hours per week).The Opportunity:The School of Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh is currently inviting applications for a Research Associate in algebraic geometry. The position is part of the Simons Collaboration “Moduli of Varieties”. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in algebraic geometry by the start of the appointment.Your skills and attributes for success:
- Expert knowledge of algebraic geometry.
- Proven ability to produce research of high quality in algebraic geometry.
- Practical experience of applying algebra-geometric approaches and techniques to solve problems.
- Background knowledge in Fano varieties and moduli of algebraic varieties.
- Published papers/preprints in relevant academic journals.
