This role demands a strategic leader adept in navigating the complexities of the chemical manufacturing landscape. This pivotal role will require you to orchestrate projects from the ground up, guiding them through stage gates, applying a variety of execution strategies, and navigating the complexities of design and engineering, all while ensuring compliance, safety, and promoting operational excellence.An experienced Senior Level Project Manager grounded in engineering principles, with a proven track record. You understand project lifecycles end-to-end and are proficient in executing them within time and budget constraints. Your practical skill set includes cost estimation, risk management, and engineering design. Leadership for you means making strategic decisions that drive project delivery while managing a team to execute on complex initiatives efficiently.Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of project management experience in chemical manufacturing or a related industrial environment. A proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar projects with tangible results.
  • Project Leadership: Proven ability to steer project teams toward successful outcomes, demonstrating effective management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Technical Proficiency: Well-versed in project management practices and methodologies.
  • Communication: Strong communicator capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders and driving collaboration.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of chemical industry standards, safety practices, and environmental regulations.
  • Portfolio Oversight: Competence in overseeing a diverse project portfolio, aligning each initiative with strategic business objectives.
  • Travel required: Up to 50%

Requirement

  • This role is home based, but the ideal candidate must live near a major international airport and be able to travel 50% of the time for business purposes throughout the US and Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Project Leadership: Drive key projects from planning through execution and completion, focusing on strategic alignment with our growth objectives. Ensure projects are safely delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Be the go-to person for internal and external stakeholders, fostering relationships, and ensuring everyone is aligned with project objectives.
  • Execution Strategy Development: Employ various execution strategies to adapt to project demands, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Risk Management: Proactively manage project risks, implementing robust strategies to minimize impacts on schedule and budget.
  • Cost and Estimating Oversight: Develop accurate cost estimates and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Engineering and Design Coordination: Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design specifications and project plans align with industry standards and project goals.
