Team Leader – Mid Southwest
(Worcestershire / Oxfordshire / Gloucestershire / Bristol / Cardiff)Salary: £26,000 – £27,000pa dependent on experience.The RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Team Leader. The Team Leader will be responsible for inspiring & coaching a team of Music Teachers whilst supporting the Area Manager overseeing the operations and growth of iRock School of Music in a designated geographical area. This role requires an inspirational leader with good leadership skills, a passion for music education, and the ability to support and inspire their band coaches.Responsibilities

  • Support the Area Manger in the day-to-day operations of multiple iRock School of Music locations within the designated area.
  • Support, train and develop a team of up to 12 high performing band coaches.
  • Carry out regular lesson observations, providing feedback and demonstrations.
  • Cover lessons in primary schools when band coaches are unavailable, ensuring a seamless learning experience for children
  • Deliver engaging rock and pop music lessons in a band setting to groups of children in primary schools
  • Assist other music teachers in delivering successful lessons and concerts
  • Support the operations team with scheduling make-up lessons when you are not teaching
  • Evaluate current business processes and report any issues on the field to the Area Manager.
  • Support commercial performance in your area, helping to boost student numbers.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with senior members of staff at schools within your area.
  • Support in the Leadership of your team to maintain the mission and values of the company.
  • Ensure you and your team adhere to company policies & procedures at all times.
  • Ensure admin tasks are completed and kept up to date.
  • Maintain high levels of communication with your team and iRock’s Senior Leadership Team.

About You

  • Proven experience in a band coach role for at least 1 academic year.
  • Strong understanding of music education and a passion for performing arts.
  • 2+ years of music teaching experience desired but not required.
  • Good knowledge and ability to teach all of the following- guitar, keyboard, drums and vocals.
  • Own a car and be willing to do extensive travelling and occasional overnight stays.
  • Be able to organise your own schedule and effectively manage your workload.
  • Have a strong set of administrative skills.
  • Be a determined and driven person with a high work ethic.
  • Be approachable and have strong communication skills.
  • Have a strong set of problem solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate individuals to uphold the company’s mission and values.
