Join the Space revolution and make the impossible, possible.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to support an Operations and Maintenance facility located in Harrogate, UK.This role requires a two (2) year commitment and the ability to successfully pass a psychological exam. A comprehensive overseas compensation package is offered with this position including relocation assistance.The successful candidate will provide technical planning, cost-benefit analysis, and integration support for operational systems. This System Engineer will also serve as an interface to Site and CONUS engineering organizations. The principal duties of the position are:Provide engineering support to include; requirements definition/evaluation, planning, coordination, identifying and addressing impacts, generating documentation, and test support.Research, prepare and present baseline change proposals to internal and external customersPlan, design and support execution of installation and integration activities addressing operational equipment obsolescence and delivery of new systems/capabilitiesDevelop and coordinate technical and conceptual trade studies between Site and Factory Operations and Maintenance teamsSupport system engineering functions for the Program including management of project schedules, program risks, opportunities, issues and baseline changesAssess program operations and engineering activities to ensure maximum availability, maintainability and overall performanceBasic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline plus 9 years of relevant technical/engineering experience OR Masters of Science Degree in a STEM discipline plus 7 years of relevant technical/engineering experience OR PhD Degree in a STEM discipline plus 4 years of relevant technical/engineering experienceActive DoD Top Secret Clearance & SCI AccessAbility to pass CI Polygraph examination prior to start datePreferred Qualifications:AMP/ATP/Mission 1 experience is highly desiredMust be able to thrive and be an effective leader and contributor in a dynamic operational environment working across may organizations and interfacesProven leadership experience on a project and/or teamExperience with System Engineering foundations and conceptsFamiliarity with Site Integration StandardsExperience with trending and monitoring tools/scripts (perl, python, MATLAB, DCL, etc.)Experience in the use of LINUX, Perl, MATLAB, AGILE SW development toolsSalary Range: $121,000.00 – $181,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
