If you have transportation experience, advance excel skills and thrive working in a fast paced environment, we want to hear from you!ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE LEGALLY AUTHORISED TO WORK IN CANADA.POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:Responsible for handling, monitoring, and coordinating shipments for door collection and/or delivery in accordance with established truck distribution percentages. Works collaboratively with internal and external organizations to include customers, truck vendors, and CCA business teams to ensure Intermodal cargo is moved in an efficient and expedited manner.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:DispatchAnalyze, plan and prioritize inland haulage according to import/export timetables, terminal/rail schedules, special equipment needs, and client-specific delivery conditionsFacilitates the movement of containers that have been miss-routed and/or improperly discharged due to vessel by-passes, errors, or equipment emergenciesResponsible to confirm and manage in-house truck availabilityCreates and issues work orders for the door collection and/or delivery in accordance with established truck rates and distribution percentagesService Delivery CoordinationMonitors shipments by tracking and tracing containers, via multiple interfaces, to ensure door appointments are met and cargo is loaded/delivered timelyCommunicates to customer(s) of potential delays or issues preventing dispatch and maintains customer interactions until all delivery requirements are satisfiedWorks collaboratively with internal departments to expedite transportCost ManagementNotify and invoice/rebill customers for additional transport related expenses including but not limited to: Pre-pulls, Revenue generating trucker yard and container yard storage, Multi stops, Drop and picksResearch and reconcile truck and customer invoice discrepanciesIdentify opportunities through micro analysis of customer locations for cost savings which includes match backs/one waysVendor ManagementMonitors and reports trucker performanceQUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field an assetExperience: Strong understanding of transportation and logistics.Other:Advanced excel skills, including macrosAbility to multi task and prioritize time sensitive issuesStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities,A customer-focused mindset.Proactive, well organized and detail orientedExcellent oral and written communication, (French and english)Outstanding problem solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively with the team.We are an equal opportunity employer!Come along on CMA CGM’s adventure !
