Humanities TeacherLocation: Gateshead, Tyne and WearSalary: £120 – £180 per dayStart Date: September 2024Contract: Full time/ Part timeAre you an enthusiastic Humanities Teacher seeking an inspiring role?GSL Education in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear is actively looking for dynamic Humanities Teacher to join client schools.Job Summary: As a Humanities Teacher, you’ll shape students’ understanding of the world, fostering their love for history, geography, and social studies. Your passion will bring learning to life, making it engaging and meaningful for your students.Humanities Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Deliver interactive lessons across the Humanities curriculum, including History, Geography, and Religious Studies.
  • Plan, assess, and ensure student progress.
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Support students’ academic and personal development, offering feedback and guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance Humanities teaching practices.
  • Engage in school activities, events, and parent meetings to build strong community relationships.
  • Stay updated on the Humanities curriculum and best practices.

Humanities Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, specializing in Humanities subjects.
  • Proven experience as a Humanities Teacher would be a plus but not must.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for learning
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
