Accredited by CDMT and positively reviewed by QAA, LSC is a leader in dance and musical theatre education.The OpportunityThis is a great opportunity to lead academic administration, support lecturing and assessments, coordinates placements, maintains records, and ensures compliance at LSC.The Academic Administrator at London Studio Centre (LSC) oversees the academic administration of all undergraduate and postgraduate programs, providing lecturing support and ensuring smooth operations in the Academic Office. This role involves supporting the Dean of Studies in managing educational programs, handling assessment records, managing student submissions and academic misconduct issues, and liaising with external examiners.Additionally, the Academic Administrator provides lecture support, manages placements for the MA Dance Producing and Management Programme, facilitates student meetings, and maintains program-specific documentation. They also serve as the secretary for various academic boards and committees, ensuring compliance with GDPR and LSC policies, and maintaining records and digital filings.About YouThe ideal candidate should have Higher Education experience in academic administration, lecturing, and external relationship building, with strong IT skills in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook. They should understand quality assurance in HE, Moodle-based VLEs, and student information systems. A degree is required, with a Master’s and relevant professional body membership preferred.Key skills include attention to detail, numerical and analytical abilities, strong literacy, excellent administrative and organisational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
