Job description

You will be an experienced Bioinformatician, with roots in maths and statistics. Exposure to machine learning tools and frameworks will be necessary. Youll need to be well versed working with NGS data and developing bioinformatics tools for clinical interpretation.This role has a high level of impact, as you will be developing and implementing bioinformatics solutions across the whole product pipeline. Youll need to be a good communicator as you will be collaborating and working closely with multidisciplinary teams.Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing novel mathematical models and statistical analyses for variant calling and detection of minimal residual disease
• Develop machine learning methods for improving probe efficiency and selectivity.
• Providing insights into data that improves assay performance.
• Develop high quality code.

Ideally You Will Have

• PhD in computational biology/bioinformatics/other related field
• Post doc or industry experience post PhD
• Strong background in maths and statistics
• Experience working within Oncology
• Experience processing, analysing and interpreting NGS data
• Exposure to ML tools and frameworks eg Tensorflow, Pytorch
• Proficient programming skills (Ideally Python)
• Familiarity with standard software engineering tools (Jira, Git, CI/CD)
• Experience using workflow management systems (Nextflow, Snakemake, WDL)
• Cloud computing experience (Ideally AWS)
