It will be a generalist role, but with a particular focus on privacy. You’ll be working with all parts of the business on anything from partnerships to marketing. Reporting into our Head of Legal, the role offers a great opportunity to help build our in-house legal function and to make a meaningful impact in supporting ZOE’s mission.You’ll be…

  • Managing and strengthening our legal privacy program. You’ll work with teams across ZOE to ensure that ZOE complies with all applicable privacy and data protection laws.
  • Working as a trusted advisor on new products, marketing campaigns and nutrition research.
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including with commercial partners, academic collaborators and suppliers.
  • Providing business-as-usual legal advice and answering ad hoc legal queries from all parts of ZOE. This could range from consumer and regulatory issues to brand protection, advertising and US expansion.
  • Horizon scanning – monitoring legal developments and interpreting them for the business.
  • Owning the development and maintenance of internal and external privacy policies, procedures and guidance.
  • Identifying, creating and managing legal operations initiatives as we build the Legal function.
  • Managing external support where required.

  • You have a minimum of 4-6 years’ post-qualification experience in commercial, privacy and technology matters.
  • You are qualified to practise as a solicitor in England.
  • You have in-house experience in a tech or start-up business.
  • Have the ability both to work autonomously and to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • You are eager to upskill in new areas of law and legal practice.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, handling multiple matters simultaneously.
  • You can effectively communicate complex legal advice and provide practical solutions.
  • You are passionate about nutrition, health and wellness.
