We have the broadest global presence in our industry, with approximately 13,000 employees, 180 sites and training locations in over 35 countries.RESPONSIBILITIES:The Aircraft Technician is responsible for conduction all servicing and maintenance tasks.In your role, you will:Inspects, maintains, repairs, and test aircraft systems.Remove and replace line replaceable units and components.Specialty work in maintenance shops as required.Interpret technical publications and diagrams.Maintain tools and equipment required to perform primary duties.Order aircraft spare parts and materials.Conduct flight line servicing operations.Debrief Team Lead as required.Carry out workplace inspections and clean ups.Fill position of Desk ControllerEducationTransport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Diploma (or equivalence – Canadian Forces AVN Technician)Possession of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering license M2 or (M1/ M2 combined)ExperienceNo less than 4 years of aircraft related experienceMinimum 3 years 1st and 2nd line maintenance activitiesExperience in life cycle support activities an assetCandidate Must:Have proven experience as a team player.Have good oral and written communication skills.Be able to work shifts; some travel required.Possess a valid driver’s license.Have knowledge of aerospace design and maintenance practices.Must be able to obtain a Reliability security clearance from the Government of CanadaMust be eligible to work in Canada, either as a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or valid Work Permit.Candidate must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and to CAE being able to obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations.Equal Employment OpportunityCAE is firmly committed to ensuring a positive and professional working environment in which all people are treated with dignity and respect.
