This is an exciting time for Abingdon, which recently announced its intention to turn co-educational. Abingdon Prep School will admit girls to its Pre-Prep from September 2024; and to Years 3 to 6 from September 2025. Abingdon Senior School will admit girls to its 1st Year (Year 7) and Sixth Form (Year 12) from September 2026.Professor Mike Stevens has led the Governing Board with distinction and, in partnership with the Head, Mike Windsor, has overseen an outstanding programme of development at Abingdon. The Board now seeks a Chair with high level commercial and generalist abilities, along with a strong track record of leadership and an understanding of strategic and financial oversight and management at board level. The successful candidate will have proven commercial acumen, sound judgement, strong communication skills and a strong sense of ambition for the School.
