Applications are invited for a Research Associate in 2D nanomaterials for the delivery of therapies to patient-derived/advanced in vitro models post within the Nano-Cell Biology Lab in the Centre for Nanotechnology in Medicine at the University of Manchester.You will contribute to the BRC-funded project focusing on the use of nanomaterials in the treatment of Lysosomal Storage Diseases by exploring interactions of nanomaterials with cells using various in vitro techniques. Demonstrable previous experience in stem/cell biology research using a variety of advanced cell culture models (working with primary co/tri-cultures and/or stem cells and organoids), as well as extensive experience in experimental research using nanomaterials are essential. Understanding interactions of nanomaterials with cells is mandatory. Advanced skills in standard biological research techniques (e.g. confocal microscopy, flow cytometry) are required. Mastering bioinformatics tools (such as Ingenuity Pathway Analysis software) is advantageous. You should be able to interact effectively with researchers from a range of backgrounds, in order to contribute to an interdisciplinary programme of research.You should hold a PhD in Stem/Cell Biology, Tissue Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent. Evidence of a developing research publication track record will be advantageous.What you will get in return:
