Job Opportunity: School Food Technician at Prestwich Secondary SchoolAre you passionate about food and education? Prestwich Secondary School is seeking an experienced Food Technician to join our team. If you have a background in catering or food preparation and previous experience working within a school, we would love to hear from you!Position: Food Technician
Location: Prestwich Secondary School, Prestwich
Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm
Salary: Up to £100 per day
Contract: Long-term role until the end of the academic yearKey Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of food technology lessons.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
• Support teachers and students during practical cooking sessions.
• Manage and order kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and used safely.
• Assist in developing and testing recipes for classroom use.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and school policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience working within a school environment is essential.
• Experience in catering or food preparation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
