We are seeking an Accounts Payable Lead to join a client in the manufacturing industry based in Lake Oswego, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, such as processing invoices, managing expenses, and posting journal entries. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the payment of invoices, focusing primarily on non-purchase order related expenses.

• Manage the inbox ensuring all communication is addressed promptly and efficiently.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems to post Journal Entries and maintain accurate records.

• Manage expenses in Concur, ensuring all costs are accounted for and correctly coded.

• Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Handle complex invoices, ensuring they are correctly processed and paid.

• Work with the Accounts Payable (AP) team to ensure all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled.

• Assist in other ad-hoc accounting functions as needed.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Account Coding

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Concur software

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Previous experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred
