We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team in Chicago
Heights, Illinois.

*PURPOSE OF POSITION *

The Machine Operator is responsible to operate machines and other
equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the proper cleaning
and preparation of castings as stated in the OMS/process sheet;
efficiently inspect finished work.

*Task and Responsibilities: *

  • Maintain and operate with hand and power tools like rail benders,
    shears, punches, presses, saws, cold expansion tools, grinders, and
    Huckbolt tools.
  • Perform inspections to eliminate spoilage.
  • Clean up maintenance and machine area regularly.
  • Read and follow the production schedule.
  • Able to work with little supervision.
  • Adhere to Nortraks Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures,
    Practices and Policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or
climbing.

Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with
hands and arms.

Regularly lift and move up to 20-25 pounds, occasionally lift and move
up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and
ability to adjust focus.

Hearing abilities related to job assigned.
