Major
Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Senior Medical
Team Leader, the Nurse-Lab Technician is responsible for:
Performing various laboratory tests and procedures, such as blood tests, urinalysis, and microbiological cultures, using specialized equipment and following standard protocols.
Maintaining laboratory equipment by calibrating, cleaning, and ensuring proper functionality to ensure accurate test results.
Recording and analyzing test results, and report findings.
Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of all personnel.
Managing inventory of supplies and reagents, ordering necessary materials, and ensuring adequate stock levels for uninterrupted laboratory operations.
Adhering to quality control and quality assurance practices to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals or researchers to provide support in conducting experiments, clinical trials, or research projects.
Performing other related duties within the clinic as may be assigned.
Assist other program staff whenever needed.

Staff management
The Nurse-Lab Technician will not be line managing
any internal staff.

based out of the IRC field office in Shahat, Libya.
Minimum Qualifications:Job
Requirements:

Bachelor or Diploma (2-3 years) degree in Medical Laboratory or relevant degree with a valid practice license from Libyan Ministry of Health
Minimum of two years of experience working as lab technician in a hospital or primary health care center.
Knowledge of professional theory and practice.
Relevant experience working at NGOs with similar role is an advantage
Good understanding of the principles of health care services levels and diagnostic procedures.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with daily travel to different field sites in Shahat
Capacity and flexibility to work under pressure and difficult conditions
Effective team player with public interest driven orientation
Basic skills in Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Self-directed, able to independently set priorities and solve problems with minimal guidance
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in both Arabic & English
Understand IRC Way, standards for professional conduct, Integrity, Service, Accountability
