CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of HR Analyst with outstanding administrative and communication skills. The HR Analyst is responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing HR data, metrics, and statistics, and applying this data to make recommendations related to recruitment, retention, and legal compliance. The HR Analyst will also help streamline HR operations and provide insights for strategic decision-making. HR Analyst is expected to be a conceptual thinker with excellent organizational and time management skills. The incumbent must be reliable and should accurately follow instructions with the ability to multitask and acclimate to a fast-paced environment.
This position is based at CIMMYT’s office in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- HR Administration
- Assess, document, improve and operate HR’s involvement in all temporary labor agreements in coordination with all stakeholders.
- Support all Personnel Administration activities (hiring, retiring of regular, temporary and consultants LRS).
- Ensure full compliance with local legislation and all HR policies and procedures including but not limited to hiring, discipline, promotion, termination etc.
- Maintain LRS personnel file.
- Identify and recommend improvements to HR processes and workflows to increase efficiency & effectiveness
- Provide analytical support for HR plans and initiatives
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Recruitment
- Analyze recruiting data and provide insights to improve recruitment strategies.
- Track and report on recruitment metrics.
- Conduct onboarding and induction programs.
- Monitor staff’s probation period.
- Training
- Support the development of a detailed annual training plan in consultation with supervisor.
- Identify appropriate resource/trainers on theme and purpose of training wherever needed.
- Coordinate the administration of training programs and review and understand the impact of training thereby developing the follow -up plans.
- Ensure all training related data is properly uploaded to Learning Management System.
- ERP, Data Analysis & Reporting
- Maintain employee records and ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of HR data. Operate the Human Resource Information System (Dynamics HRM) to track and update employee information, generate reports, and analyze HR metrics.
- Collect and compile HR data from various sources such as HRIS, payroll, exit interviews, employment records and employee surveys.
- Analyze data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws.
- Prepare and present reports of data results, including graphs and charts, for management.
- Train HR staff and other users in the effective use of the ERP
- Analyze compensation and benefits data to ensure competitive and equitable practices.
- Provide insights and recommendations for compensation adjustments and benefit enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Analyst or in a similar role is required.
- Proficiency in ERP system and common HR software.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.

The position is for Bangladesh Nationals for an initial fixed-term contract of 1-year with 3 months probationary period, which further employment is subject to performance and the continued availability of funds.
