Position Objective:
Reporting to Chief of Partnerships or any other Manager as assigned by the Bank, this position is responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with external stakeholders, including multilateral development banks, financial institutions in member countries, development agencies, non-governmental organizations, think tanks, academia, philanthropic institutions, donor-based funds and private sector entities. 
The role is also responsible for supporting different Departments and Divisions of the Bank in their Partnerships activities.

Purpose (Innovate):

•    Conceptualize initiatives and mechanisms to build and strengthen partnerships with suitable  public and private players by matching competencies and capabilities.
•    Define partnership priorities and action plans across selected partners.  
•    Design approaches for mobilizing funds from potential public and private entities, including technical and financial resources, to enhance the Bank´s investment operations and development impact.  
•    Explore and propose new partnership initiatives and joint events that strengthen cooperation while ensuring alignment with partner capacities and the Bank’s strategic priorities.  

Engagement (Advocate):
•    Prepare and negotiate partnership-related documents, coordinate joint events and other initiatives with partners.
•    Facilitate and cooperate with other Departments/Divisions in developing partnership activities to enhance the Bank’s ability to mobilize resources for sustainable infrastructure and development.  

Delivery (Define Project Cycle):
•    Oversee the reporting on partnerships activities.
•    Help the Bank in the development of a culture of innovation and change, including the incubation of new financial/non-financial products and business lines.
•    Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Position Requirements

•    Minimum of 9 years of relevant professional experience in a multilateral development bank or institution, governmental organization, public sector, academic/ research institution, or private sector company, including leading global consulting firms or policy think tanks.
•    Experience in establishing and maintaining bilateral and multilateral relationships with partners.
•    Knowledge and experience in data collection, analysis and interpretation, building indicators, reporting and providing support for data driven decision-making.
•    Familiarity with operations, policies and processes of international financial institutions is a plus.
•    Problem solving, communication, conflict management, and interpersonal skills with high resilience and drive in achieving objectives and goals.
•    Ability to work under pressure with a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail.
•    Relevant experience in a multi-cultural work environment fostering a climate of teamwork and collaboration.
•    Fluency in English with strong capability to communicate in writing and speaking is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is desirable. 
•    Master’s Degree or equivalent in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, international development, public policy or a relevant professional field from a reputed university.
