Job IntroWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring deployment of resilient TWIN infrastructure (powered by IOTA), both internally and in collaboration with partners. You will also spearhead the development of scalable solutions to support our rapidly growing ecosystem.TWIN (Trade Worldwide Information Network) is powered by IOTA technologies and it is a digital infrastructure for international trade with capabilities for governments and industry to build digital twins, digital product passports, and collaborate on digital trade data sharing. It includes features like digital identity for organisations, tokenised assets, W3C technical standards and follows international data standards. TWIN is governed by 6 organisations coming together to enable governments and industry to collaborate around an impartial governance framework overseen by World Economic Forum, Trademark Africa, Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade, Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation, and the IOTA Foundation.The aim is to solve some of the most pressing and highest value-for-cost challenges globally; frictionless global trade. Removing red tape at the borders, creating supply chain visibility for better planning, ensuring better product traceability, building carbon metrics into our supply chains, and enabling easier access to trade finance. The first application using the TWIN infrastructure is the in Kenya and more ecosystems are in the formation around the globe.You will be working fully remote with team members globally including staff from partner organisationsResponsibilities & Requirements
- Work closely with software engineers to create deployable infrastructure.
- Work with 3rd parties to help with deployments.
- Troubleshoot production incidents promptly.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate deployment processes.
- Monitor system health and performance.
- Ensure security best practices are followed.
- Document deployment processes so they can be followed by 3rd parties.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
Nice-to-Have
- Certification in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with serverless architecture.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK stack, etc.).
