Customer Service Representative in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Description We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Machinery Manufacturing industry, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As a Customer Service Representative, you will handle customer inquiries, process applications, and maintain customer records. Additionally, you will monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner.

• Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records.

• Handle incoming calls and written business correspondence.

• Actively cross-sell and refer customers to support business development and client referral goals.

• Provide accurate and friendly customer service.

• Use your strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve complex customer inquiries.

• Interact effectively with both internal and external partners and clients.

• Navigate multiple computer systems and applications.

• Utilize your foundational knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

• Apply your customer service and office administrative skills to all tasks.

• Go the extra mile to solve complex customer inquiries through extensive research. Requirements • Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in a customer service role, preferably within the machinery manufacturing industry

• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer complaints effectively and professionally

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse individuals

• Familiarity with machinery manufacturing industry is a plus

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
