We offer an inclusive and accessible work environment where all employees and customers feel valued, respected, and supported.Here’s the job opportunity…As a security administrator at ivari you have three primary roles: the first is to support access management provisioning and controls for ivari systems and applications ensuring that we meet all policy and compliance requirements. The second role is to support all audit and regulatory efforts with respect to provisioning by ensuring that all requests, files and reviews are in good order and to work with the internal and external audit staff to complete the reviews. The third role is to support the security analyst by acting as a first line of defense by monitoring and auditing the various security services installed within our IT infrastructure – and respond as appropriate to anomalies that these reports identify. You will:

  • Provide / revoke requested ID’s and associated privileges; support service desk with regards to password resets
  • Assess requests and identify those that are outside normal scope for access and specific privileges
  • Support annual review of access privileges with application owner or staff manager confirming that a particular persons access privileges are current and correct or that all ID’s associated with an application are current and correct
  • Manage problems and investigate as required
  • Support new security initiatives
  • Monitor and maintain the various security systems & services and associated reports working together with IT Risk Management and Security Operations
  • Maintain policy and standards library and system documentation
  • Identify opportunities to extend or improve access controls through leveraging acquired tools
  • Monitor and review security reports on daily / weekly basis as scheduled. Identify anomalies and respond or escalate as per individual activity requirements

What we are looking for…

  • University or College Graduate in IT related field. IT security courses and designations beneficial
  • Three to five years IT security experience. Previous security or LAN administration experience preferred. Familiarity with running command lines interface (CLI). Must understand basic security concepts such as accountability, segregation of duties, least privilege and demonstrable compliance (reliable audit trails).
  • Must demonstrate a “security mindset” and willingness to enforce control procedures while maintaining a positive customer relationship
  • Requires attention to detail
  • Must have an aptitude for learning syntax for a multitude of operating systems and applications
