Job Description:UE07 £39,347 – £46,974 per annumCollege of Science and Engineering, School of Biological SciencesFull Time (35 hours per week)Open ended (permanent) contractThe School of Biological Sciences are looking for a Student Recruitment and Industry Liaison Manager.This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week). We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.The Opportunity:The School of Biological Sciences wishes to recruit a Student Recruitment and Industry Liaison Manager to develop and manage the School’s undergraduate and taught postgraduate recruitment strategy and activities, including marketing, schools liaison, overseas recruitment, articulation and progression partnerships. The role also includes the oversight of student placements in industry for selected Biological Sciences programmes and line management of two staff members.The ideal candidate will have experience of student recruitment and conversion activities in Higher Education and will possess a high degree of project management, communication and cultural awareness skills. They will be self-motivated and be able to manage multiple competing demands and deadlines. An ability to use initiative and be proactive is also essential.Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Experience of student recruitment within an HE environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of colleagues and teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of applicants, colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel internationally and a very good understanding of inclusion and cultural diversity in recruitment activity
  • A degree in or familiarity with Biological Sciences programmes is desirable
