Its research ethos is about excellence, honesty, openness, accountability, and integrity.Project outlineThe Advanced Technology Proteomics Facility is at the forefront of developing and applying state-of-the-art mass spectrometry (MS)-based platforms for quantitative analysis of biological samples. From single protein analysis to in-depth proteomics and post-translational modifications (PTMs), we push the boundaries of understanding tumour biology and for biomarker discovery.Why Join Us?As part of our team, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to work with high-end MS technology, including our current Q-Exactive HF and Orbitrap-Lumos instruments, with one of the latest generation MS instruments arriving soon. You’ll also gain hands-on experience with advanced tools like AssayMAP Bravo for streamlined sample preparation.Your RoleYou will play a key role in supporting cutting-edge cancer proteomics projects by:

  • Operating mass spectrometers and associated systems.
  • Performing regular instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Utilizing data analysis platforms to extract meaningful insights.
  • Collaborating closely with top researchers and contributing to the development of innovative MS methods and protocols.

What We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking a driven and talented scientist who shares our passion for advancing proteomics and cancer research. You’ll bring:

  • A relevant degree and strong lab skills in the proteomics field.
  • Proven experience in sample preparation, Orbitrap mass spectrometry, and liquid chromatography (LC) techniques.
  • Familiarity with MS data analysis using key software (MaxQuant, Perseus, Spectronaut, Skyline) is a plus, though not essential.
