The College of Pharmacy, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences (RFHS), University of Manitoba, Canada invites applications for a full-time probationary, tenure-track appointment in Pharmacoepidemiology at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Expected date of appointment is January 1, 2025, or at a date to be negotiated.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an independent externally-funded research program, (e.g., provincial, national, and international funding agencies, associations, and foundations etc… ). The applicant will be expected to provide high-quality, effective teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs in the areas such as pharmacoepidemiology, biostatistics, the scientific literature evaluation stream of courses, and research methodology course. The applicant will also be expected to provide service to the College of Pharmacy. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The College of Pharmacy is located in the state-of-the-art 90,000 square feet Apotex Centre on the Bannatyne Campus of the University of Manitoba. The University is located within a large health sciences campus and collaborates closely with the Colleges of dentistry, medicine, nursing and rehabilitation sciences, within the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences (RFHS). The College of Pharmacy also works closely with Pharmacy organizations in Manitoba and with external partners who support work-integrated learning for students in community, hospital and primary care sites. The College is proximally adjacent to several tertiary care teaching hospitals of the Winnipeg Region Health Authority (WRHA) and the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM). The RFHS also houses the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy (MCHP), that conducts world renowned research on health and social determinants of health and supports the province’s population-based data repository. The MCHP is a site of the Canadian Network for Observational Drug Effect Studies (CNODES) to which members of the College of Pharmacy maintain formal affiliation and close collaboration.

The College of Pharmacy has a long history of excellence in pharmacy education and research. It provides opportunities for interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration in health sciences research and education.
