Description
The Faculty of Nursing, University of Calgary, invites applications for an appointment at the rank of Assistant (tenure track) or Associate (with tenure) Professor (Teaching and Research). The appointment will ideally commence July 1st, 2025, or at a mutually agreeable date.

Candidates must have a PhD in nursing or a related discipline and be eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta.

Applicants at the Assistant rank will be early career academics who are establishing research programs, have previous professional and teaching experience in one of the Faculty’s three strategic research priority areas, an emerging publication record, and promising capability in undergraduate and graduate-level teaching and graduate supervision.

Applicants at the Associate rank will be mid-career nursing academics with a well-established track record of competitive research funding with demonstrated impact in their area of focus, demonstrated excellence in teaching within undergraduate and graduate programs, supervision of graduate students, evidence of established academic partnerships in professional and other communities, and engagement with colleagues in support and development of priority faculty initiatives.

A complete application should be submitted in a single pdf, and include the following:
• Cover letter and curriculum vitae including the names and contact information for three referees;
• Statement outlining your program of research;
• Statement of teaching philosophy/teaching dossier;
• Brief description of present and aspiring contributions to the field; and
• Reprints of two (2) representative academic publications.
