We have an exciting remote opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Global Trade!

What You Will Do:

The Legal Global Trade (GT) Transfers and Authorizations Requirements Management (TARM) team manages and oversees Pratt & Whitney level policies and procedures for Authorizations and Transfers that occur by way of shipments, travel, business meetings and other means. We are looking for a Global Trade professional to join TARM compliance team that focuses on developing and improving GT processes/requirements in areas including authorization management and transfers, among others. The position will require collaboration with various business areas, as well as working with our Digital Technologies team to develop and assist with implementation of robust compliance measures.

The position reports to the Global Trade Associate Director in TARM and requires interfacing with internal and external customers to ensure compliance with government regulations and RTX/P&W policies related to global trade compliance. The successful candidate will be adaptable to regularly changing priorities, be able to manage projects with minimal supervision and have a record of working successfully with a team. The individual must be a self-starter who is able to identify business needs and respond accordingly. Responsibilities will include developing and publishing guidance/requirements documentation, project management and support for the enhancement or development of IT solutions to improve system level controls that implicate trade compliance regulations, as well as regularly supporting and interacting cross-functional teams at P&W on global trade matters with respect to transfers and authorizations. Support other activities of the TARM team as needed.

  • Work closely with various P&W business areas to provide guidance and solutions for global trade activities
  • Manage and support project initiatives, maintenance, and enhancement of automated solutions and GT tools such as SAP/GTS/AMP
  • Work closely with BU GT Professionals to provide guidance and solutions for global trade activities
  • Work with Legal GT’s IT Integration Manager to support larger projects
  • Participate in RTX Committees and related activities
  • Develop and update guidance and other instructional materials for GT processes and requirements
  • Develop and deploy training for users of GT tools
  • Support government reporting requirements as necessary
  • Support other activities of the TARM team as needed

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in global trade compliance, or a combination of global trade and systems support experience, such as SAP, GTS, PowerBI or Power Apps; OR an Advanced degree and 3+ years in global trade compliance, or a combination of global trade and systems support experience, such as SAP, GTS, PowerBI or Power Apps
  • 3+ years of experience of working with US international trade regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and FTR or other trade compliance regulations
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen – this position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD – 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
